Dominic's Blessing

Look at these handsome men!
The lucky grandparents :)

The Brock cousins, Jaeden and Avery

The cutest Haynes kids!
Since we had Tyler, Mandolyn, Mom and Dad here to visit, we thought it was a great opportunity to have Dominic blessed. Since he was only almost 3 weeks old, we thought it was better to have our wonderful bishop over and have the blessing at home. It was so wonderful and very intimate. Thank you so much to all the family that was able to come and support us. It really meant a lot to us. We feel so lucky and blessed. :)

San Antonio

First to Mi Tierra's for lunch
Fratinizing with the enemy at the Alamo

My dad was loving all the beautiful huge trees on the Alamo grounds so we had to get a picture in front of one
The boat ride on the riverwalk
So beautiful/handsome
Mandolyn has never been to San Antonio so as soon as my dad pulled up to our house from his long drive from Utah, we jumped back into the car and drove down to San Antonio to see The Alamo and go to the River Walk. Grandma and Grandpa Haynes joined us to make it that much more fun.

Not Meant to Leave

I took this picture of my mom with the kids right before we left to take her to the airport to go back to Utah. We dropped her off, cried, sad time :(, and then left. Just 20 minutes later my mom calls to say Delta won't let her fly home on the ticket she paid for because she didn't fly here on it. So I was secretly happy because now she has to come back to my house and my dad decided to drive to Texas to get her and see us for the weekend. Moral of the story, we are not fans of Delta but we love Grandmas!!

Sunday morning cookies

Grandma Hanson brought the girls their own little rolling pins. They were excited to roll out some sugar cookies and use the Halloween cookie cutters. Why not, it is April.

Grandma and Grandpa Haynes' Visit

Grandma and Grandpa Haynes brought the girls each a puzzle, thank you!

Ring around the rosies before bedtime, the girls have the most fun grandparents and daddy!
Grandpa Haynes had not been able to come see Dominic yet so on Saturday they came to see him. Thank you so much to Grandma Haynes for helping us watch and play with the girls with Grandma Hanson while we were in the hospital. During their visit on Saturday, they took the girls to Kiddie Acres and out to dinner to give Dan and I some quiet time. It was so nice to have them here with us for the day.

Grandma's first visit to the NICU

The girls came to visit me and thought the bed, tv and juice was the most wonderful thing

The first time Jaeden got to see her new brother

Monday morning I was getting the girls ready to go to the park and started having a lot of pain in my lower stomach and back. I thought I would sit down and take a break for a minute but the pain never went away. I called Dan and he said he'd meet me right away at the doctor's office. I dropped the girls off for what would be the rest of the day at my wonderful friend, Rushell's house, and then off to the hospital with full on contractions. We got to the doctor's at 11:30 and was admitted after 20 min of being monitored to have the baby at 1:38 pm. It was a fast delivery. I was thankful to have an epidural 5 min. before he was born. There was a lot of meconium in my water so they had to take him to NICU to make sure he hadn't swallowed any. He was gone for a little over 2 hours and was brought back to me to join me in our room. The nurse quickly discovered that his blood sugar level was too low and he was too cold so she took him to the nursery to sit under the heat. The nurse practitioner from the NICU came to the room hours later to tell us they took his blood and his red blood cell count was dangerously low. After ruling things out with x-rays and a CAT scan, they determined that he bleed into me in utero starting most likely weeks ago losing his much needed red blood cells. He had to have a blood transfusion and shortly after started getting coloring back and actually started to cry which we had not really heard yet. My mom flew to Texas that night she got the news about his blood. I will be forever grateful for her quick support. ( I LOVE YOU!) His oxygen level kept dropping and they hooked him up to an IV in case they needed to do other tests on him that required an empty stomach so he didn't get to eat until Thursday. We got to have him room in with us Thursday night and he did so well they discharged us Friday afternoon. My mom, mother-in-law and the girls came to bring him home. Jaeden and Avery were so excited to finally meet their new baby brother. It is so wonderful to be home!! Thank you to everyone for their prayers and support, we love you all.
